Backstory

I grew up surfing the beaches of Southern California, but now I’m more likely to be found hunting in the mountains of Idaho. I’m a proud father of 3 and married to an amazing woman who puts up with my *hilarious* dad jokes on a daily basis. I studied Philosophy at UCLA and have always been one to question…well… everything. Over the last decade, I began studying the history of money, Austrian Economics, and the current US monetary system. Thankfully, this ultimately led me to Bitcoin. Before joining Swan, I worked for Google for 15 years in various customer-facing roles.

Bitcoin story

Once I realized that our debt-based fiat system is designed to make the average person poorer over time via inflation and debasement, I began looking for ways to mitigate this outright theft of our hard-earned savings. At first I naively assumed that all “cryptos” were like Bitcoin, but after getting scammed by a few pump-and-dump junk coins, I got very serious about studying and understanding Bitcoin and finally saw the beautiful orange light. Bitcoin fixes our broken money, full stop.
