My Backstory

From a young age, I was driven by an entrepreneurial spirit. Growing up in São Paulo, Brazil, I would go door to door selling anything I could find. This passion for entrepreneurship only grew stronger as I got older. In college, I co-founded Jazz Side, a company dedicated to making our clients' dreams come true. What started as a big dream shared by two college students grew into the largest experiential marketing agency in Latin America.

After several years in the Brazilian entrepreneurial scene, it was time for a change. I moved to California to pursue an MBA and immerse myself in the local startup culture. My plan was to learn as much as possible and then return home to launch my next venture. But life had other plans for me.

I joined Bridgewater Associates, the world’s largest hedge fund, to work alongside the Board and co-CEOs in transitioning the company from a founder-led organization to a corporation. Eventually, I joined a newly formed team tasked with leading business development in the global wealth and insurance industries.

At Bridgewater, I also gained a deep understanding of how the economy works and realized the potential of Bitcoin to revolutionize the world. Joining Swan was the natural next step on my journey

My Bitcoin Story

It was late 2016 when a close friend urged me to invest in crypto. He spoke passionately about its enormous potential for growth and the revolutionary potential of blockchain technology. I was intrigued and decided to take the plunge, buying Bitcoin and other coins for the first time.

2017 was an exciting year for Bitcoin. I rode the wave of ICOs, trying my hand at trading coins. But like so many others, I lost a significant amount against Bitcoin. This only fueled my curiosity to learn more.

In 2018, I joined Bridgewater and gained early access to Ray’s research on the rise and fall of reserve currencies. As a Brazilian who had experienced the devastating effects of inflation and a weak currency, Ray’s insights resonated deeply with me.

That’s when it finally clicked. I became an ongoing student of Bitcoin, macroeconomics, geopolitics, game theory, and all the other areas that touch Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the best money we have ever seen. It’s a silent revolution that can drastically change the world as we know it. Driving its adoption is a critical mission.
